President Nechirvan Barzani held a meeting with Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Antalya during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, in the evening of March 1. The focus of their discussion was on enhancing the relationship and cooperation between Türkiye, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region. They particularly emphasized the importance of trade and economic ties, and the political and security situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
Additionally, the two leaders exchanged thoughts on the current tensions in the region and the ongoing developments in Gaza. They both highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts and diplomatic dialogue in peacefully resolving these issues.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed the shared concern of terrorism and other matters of mutual interest.
