President Nechirvan Barzani received Germany’s Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Martin Jaeger in Erbil.
The meeting focused on the latest political developments in Iraq and the steps taken to restore the political process in the country. Discussions also covered Erbil-Baghdad relations and the developments in the Kurdistan Region.
The President emphasized that stability remains the foremost priority of Iraq, underlining the importance of continued dialogue to overcome differences and to reach consensus.
Ambassador Jaeger spoke about his visit to the Kurdistan Region and stressed that Germany and the European countries give great importance to the political process in Iraq, view its stability as crucial, and encourage the country to move forward.
