Today, I have decided to place the Ainkawa district of Erbil under administrative control of its Christian residents. This move gives Christians, and other groups, rights to nominate civic leaders, appoint officials, manage their own security and directly shape their destinies. pic.twitter.com/5wD6Pso69C

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani visited Ainkawa town in Erbil province.
He praised it as a center for coexistence, a safe haven and home for Christians from all over Iraq.
“Ainkawa is one of the towns that is developing everyday and is growing,” PM Barzani said.
PM Barzani appointed the Minister of interior and the Governor of Erbil to work on making Ainkawa a district.
The premier then visited the town’s Maryamana hospital, a private medical center built by the Chaldean Catholic church in 2020, with local and foreign aid.
